Langley Primary School Invites You to Celebrate Cultures and Community

As Education Week approaches, schools across Victoria are preparing to celebrate the rich diversity of their communities. At Langley Primary School, the spirit of this year’s theme — “Celebration of Cultures” — is part of everyday life, and families are warmly invited to come and experience it firsthand.

During Education Week, from Monday 19 May to Friday 23 May, Langley students will dive into activities that deepen their understanding of culture and identity.

Highlights include the study of student surnames and their origins, reflections on the cultural beginnings of popular sports, and a recent highlight — a traditional Indigenous Smoking Ceremony led by Uncle Shane, where students learned about and celebrated Indigenous culture in a meaningful and hands-on way.

Here, culture, community, and a love for learning come together every day.

The school will be open for visitors on Wednesday 14 May from 10:30 am to 12:30 pm, offering a chance to see the school in action, meet staff and students, and experience the welcoming spirit that defines Langley.

For more information or to arrange a personal tour, families are encouraged to call the school directly. Langley Primary School looks forward to welcoming new families into their vibrant, caring community — a place where every child feels safe, supported, and inspired to thrive.
