Walking Together Towards Reconciliation
Our operating principle: Voicing, Valuing, Activating
- Taking as our model the embracing nature of an extended family or “mob” our programs structure ceremony, events and activities and learning opportunities in ways culturally appropriated to first nations Non indigenous students are active participant through prioritising cultural awareness
- Voices historically silenced are heard as everyone enters the yarning circle (circle of conversation) as is traditional around the campfire sharing tucker
- By valuing the teachings and stories toward reconciliation we map the actions that make cultural connections a reality. Students grow to expect reconciliation and healing of country and people
- Staff, by structuring our vision into practice create the educational paradigms necessary for a future of harmony, empowerment and connectedness
- We expect to be measured by our success in this endeavour.
When we speak truth we use the words of our ancestors
